Miniature pansy-like flowers that blend together violet, lavender, yellow and some white in each face. Useful in shady areas, beds, borders, interplanted with spring flowering bulbs, containers, rock gardens and as a cut flower. Special Directions For Short Season Climates SOWING: For earliest color, sow seeds indoors in early spring 6 to 8 weeks before last frost in flats or peat pots. Cover seeds with 1/16 inch fine soil. For later blooms sow directly outdoors in mid spring after danger of serious frost has passed. Seeds can also be sown outdoors in late summer or earliest fall in mild winter areas. SPACING, THINNING & TRANSPLANTING: Carefully space plants 6 to 8 inches apart after danger of serious frost has passed. GERMINATION: 10 to 20 days, seeds need darkness to germinate. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Plants are easy to grow and prefer cool weather. Select a location in partial sun with rich, moist, well drained soil.
