Ideal when planted en masse in a fairly low border. It is also used in naturalized wildflower or flowering meadow settings. Special Directions For Short Season Climates SOWING: Sow seed in place early to late spring. Barely cover seed with fine soil. SPACING & THINNING: When young seedlings are about 2 inches high, carefully thin to about 4 to 8 inches apart. Flax does not transplant well. GERMINATION: Approximately 10 to 20 days.
