GYPSOPHILA Babysbreath Paniculata 'Alba' Perennial-Permanent Plant - Height 3 feet Used extensively for filler in dried bouquets. It blooms profusely with tiny single white flowers the first year. Can be used in borders or as a background plant in flower beds. Special Directions For Short Season Climates SOWING: Select sunny location and sow seeds in place after danger of frost has passed. For earlier blooms sow seed indoors in individual peat pots 4 to 6 weeks before last frost. Barely cover seed with 1/16 inch fine soil. THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Carefully thin plants to 2 feet apart. Transplant indoor started seedlings to the same distance after danger of frost has passed. GERMINATION: One to two weeks depending upon soil and weather conditions. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Perennial Babysbreath grow best in full sun in fairly light well drained soil. Do not fertilize or over water. To prolong blooming period shear back lightly before flowers set seed. To dry flowers cut stem when flower are open and hang upside down in a dry, well ventilated shady place.
