THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Carefully thin or transplant seedlings 3 to 4 inches apart. Use thinned plants dried or fresh. GERMINATION: About 10 to 14 days. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Plant in full sun in fairly rich well drained soil. Keep plants well watered in summer. Divide crowded clumps every 2 years. Harvest outer leaves cutting just above ground level with a knife. Use leaves fresh or dry them before plants flower as they lose flavor and texture after that point.
