Hardy Annual - One Season Plant - Height 1 to 2 feet
Very colorful spring or fall and winter foliage plant. Leaf color varies in shades of magenta on green and white or green with both smooth and ruffled leaf edges. Excellent for containers bedding and massing. Try flowering kale for early and late season color accents to your landscape.
Special Directions For Short Season Climates
SOWING: Sow outdoors after danger of serious frost has passed. Seeds can also be started indoors in flats or individual pots 3 weeks before setting out Cover seeds with 1/8 inch fine soil.
THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Thin or transplant seedlings when about 2 inches high to 12 inches apart.
GERMINATION: One to two weeks. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Seed in June or July for fall, winter color. Keep soil moderately moist, well fertilized and weed free. Grows best in full sun during the cooler part of the growing season.
