Special Directions For Short Season Climates SOWING: Sow seed directly outdoors after all danger of frost has passed. Cultivate soil and scatter seeds covering them with 1/8 inch fine soil. THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Thin or transplant to 6 inches apart when seedlings are 2 to 3 inches high. GERMINATION: 10 to 20 days depending upon weather and soil warmth. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Grows best in fairly moist soil in filtered sunlight or partially shaded areas. Can be sown mid to /ate summer for blooms the following year. Start seed indoors or in the greenhouse in late winter, earliest spring for possible flowering the first year.
