Special Directions For Short Season Climates

SOWING: Sow seed in place in spring after danger of severe frost has passed. Barely cover seed with light soil or firm into soil with the back of your hand.

SPACING & THINNING: Carefully thin young seedlings when about 2 inches tall to about 8 inches apart. Plants do not transplant well.

GERMINATION: 7 to 1 0 days. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.

Ed's Special Advice

Select a sunny location with well-drained soil. Water only when dry, after plant is established. Keep spent flowers picked for prolonged blooming. Can be sown in fall in areas with mild winters.
