Sow seeds every 2 to 3 inches into shallow trench covering with 1/2 inch of fine soil firmed down. Take care to intersperse different seed types for best flowering and coverage pattern.
SPACING & THINNING: It shouldn't be necessary to thin seedlings. Seed can be resown into wide gaps, many varieties are resistant to transplanting.
GERMINATION: The different species will germinate over a period of from one to three weeks. Keep soil moderately moist during germination.
