AUBRIETIA Rock Cress Perennial - Permanent Plant Height: 4 to 6 inches A colorful mat-forming, rock garden plant. Plants bloom in spring from seed sown the previous spring/summer. Will tolerate partially shaded areas. Combine with Alyssum, Arabis, Cerastium, Candytuft, Pinks and other rock garden plants. Special Directions for Short Season Climates SOWING: Sow seeds directly outdoors in spring through summer, or sow indoors for later transplant out. Cover seed with 1/16" of soil firmed down. SPACING, THINNING AND TRANSPLANTING: Carefully thin or trans- plant young seedlings to about 4 inches apart, after danger of frost has past. GERMINATION: Approximately 1 to 3 weeks at 60.F. Keep soil moderately moist during germination. Ed's Special Advice Provide well drained soil kept moderately moist around bloom period. Soon after blooming ceases, lightly shear back and fertilize.
